PollHero is developed and hosted in Germany. This makes the software and the AI 100% GDPR-compliant. PollHero also gives you an extra level of data protection with two-factor authentication.
Within surveys, you can manage in the settings whether personal data is shown in reporting. Per project, you can turn PII (personally identifiable information) masking on or off. Email addresses and numbers with 4+ digits are censored in responses.
Survicate is also a European company and is headquartered in Poland. However, from a data-protection perspective, Survicate is not ideal because the company uses subprocessors outside the EU in Australia and the US. Under the CLOUD Act, US processors are entitled to pass personal data on to US authorities, even if the data was collected abroad.
Two-factor authentication is also available.
PollHero offers unlimited responses per survey, which is especially practical for larger companies with lots of conversions. The number of active surveys and questions per survey is limited in the first two plans.
Survicate’s pricing depends on whether you choose a monthly plan or an annual plan. Even annual plans can be paid monthly; only the Growth plan is always billed annually.
Survicate scales pricing based on response volume. That means if ten people complete a 5-question survey to the end, you’ve already used 50 responses.
Only the Starter plan can be booked monthly. Pricing depends on the number of responses/month and the Data Points: 100 responses/month for €79 and each additional response €0.79, 500 responses/month for €239 and each additional response €0.29; any response volume above that must be discussed individually.
Annual plans also scale based on response volume and Data Points.
